Stoping fighting your Golden Oak and start working with it

If you have golden oak in your home, and you don’t plan on changing it, then stop fighting it work with it.

Golden oak has strong warm undertones (hello orange + yellow).
When you pair it with cool grays or stark whites, the contrast actually makes the wood look more orange. Yikes!!

That’s why light warm neutrals and soft whites are your best friend.

They can:
• soften the warmth
• balance the undertones
• brighten the space
• and make everything feel intentional

You don’t have to tear it out to make it feel updated.
You just have to choose the right supporting palette.

Design is about understanding what you already have and building from there. 🤍

Here are some tried and true colors that work great with golden oak and help to tone done the orange. But if you are still struggling to find your perfect shade, schedule a color consultation and we can find just the right shade for your home.
